How to Get Pet Mutations
Step-by-step guide to mutating your pets

🔧 Mutation Process

1

Level Up: Level your pet to 50 or higher before attempting any mutation.

2

Find the Machine: Visit the Pet Mutation machine near the Pet Eggs vendor in the game.

3

Equip the Pet: Make sure the pet you want to mutate is currently equipped.

4

Wait or Skip: Wait 1 hour for a free mutation roll, or pay 50 Robux to skip the timer.

⚠️ Important: Pet mutations reset your pet’s age back to 1. You will lose all age-based benefits. Think carefully before mutating a high-level or high-age pet!
Mutation Strategy Tips
How to maximize your chances and make smart mutation decisions
Stack Multiple PetsHave multiple pets at level 50+ ready. If one mutation doesn’t work out, try another pet immediately.
Match Your PlaystyleFrozen / Windy mutations are great if you focus on crop value. Golden / Rainbow are better for passive ability boosting.
Rarest = Not Always BestCommon mutations like Shiny (32%) give reliable XP boosts. Don’t spend 50 Robux re-rolling just for rarity.
Ascended is Ultra-RareAt only 0.32%, Ascended applies the Dawnbound crop mutation every 5-6 hours. It’s extremely powerful but hard to get.
Keep Backup PetsMaintain some unmutated high-age pets as backups — age-based benefits can still be valuable in certain setups.
Golden vs RainbowBoth boost passives but Rainbow (+20%) is more powerful than Golden (+10%). Rainbow has roughly half the probability though.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do mutations stack with each other?
No — each pet can only have one mutation at a time. If you mutate again, the new result replaces the old mutation.
Can I remove a mutation from my pet?
Not directly. You can use the mutation machine again to roll a new mutation, which will overwrite the current one — but this is random and also resets your pet’s age again.
What is the difference between Obtainable and Special mutations?
Obtainable mutations can be rolled from the regular Pet Mutation machine. Special/Event mutations like Fried, Aromatic, Tranquil, and Corrupted are only available through special events or exclusive means — they cannot be obtained from the standard machine.
Does a mutated pet apply its effect to all nearby crops?
Yes — mutations like Frozen, Windy, Shocked, Radiant, and Ascended apply effects to nearby fruits randomly. Positioning your pet near your crop patches helps maximize their effectiveness.
Which mutation is best for beginners?
Shiny (+15% XP) is the most common and provides a consistent benefit for leveling future pets faster. It’s a solid mutation to keep if you get it early on.
